In May, the wine-growers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape were at Vinexpo Hong Kong. This wine fair, welcoming trade only, is the major wine & spirits event on the Asian market.
In 2016, it attracted 1300 exhibitors from 33 countries worldwide, 16 700 visitors and over 500 accredited journalists.
For the fourth year, Châteauneuf-du-Pape had a stand with SOPEXA at the Convention and Exhibition Centre, sharing it with the Tavel appellation.
The Châteauneuf-du-Pape exhibitors were Domaine de Nalys, Domaine La Millière, Maison Brotte, Château Fortia, Château La Nerthe, Vignobles Mousset-Barrot, La Clef de Saint-Thomas and La Célestière.
During the fair, a seminar was held, featuring a presentation of a wine from each participating winery and with comments by Jennie Mack, Managing Director of Asia Wine Service and Education Centre, based in Hong Kong.
